The 14th Sulfur Dioxide, Nitrogen Oxide, Mercury and Fine P
Conference Background
Coal is the dominant energy in China and it is one of the primary factors to affect the air and environment quality. In China, 90% sulfur dioxide, 67% nitrogen oxide, 35% inhalable particle, and 70% flue gas discharge amount are from burning of coal. The flue gas emission pollution problem of coal-fired power plants, coal-fired industrial boilers, coal-fired kilns, etc. is quite hotspot issue. Coal-fired flue gas pollution governing is an important way to control air environment pollution and flue gas desulphurization, denitrification, demercuration, dust and super fine particle removing are key points to control coal-burning flue gas pollution. Therefore it is urgent to promote the air environment quality improvement in China by focusing on major demands of China about air pollution control and internationally advanced technology through key technology R & D and system integration, developing flue gas and waste air discharge pollutants control technologies and equipments, such as coal-fired power plants, industrial boilers, and kilns, with independent intellectual property rights that are in favor of recycling economy development and overall resources utilization. In order to promote the air environment quality, it is also very important to pay enough attention to speeding up the construction of energy-saving and emission reduction and promoting the comprehensive treatment for sulfur dioxide, nitrogen oxide, exhaust emission in the iron & steel industry, copper metallurgy industry, building materials industry, etc.. The annual international exchange conference about sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxide pollution control technology is a top communication activity for large air pollution polices and markets held by Chinese Society for Environmental Sciences (CSES).The conference is focused on reform, policy, market, cooperation, investment, technology and supervision of power environment protection. Successfully held for 13 sessions since 1995, with win-win cooperation and harmonious development as its theme, the 14 th International Conference for SO 2, NO X, Hg, PM 2.5 Control Technology is scheduled to be held on May 6-8, 2010 Pudong New Internetional Expo Center in Shanghai with highlights on the national emission reduction strategy and harmonious development in industrial flue gas and exhaust gas market under the economic recovery policy.
